How does your donation help?
St. John's United Church collects donations for a variety of causes. Use the drop-down box on the donation form to select how you would like your funds to be directed. You can also write a note to tell us how you would like your funds directed if you are not sure which option you should choose
1 - General - supports the day-to-day operations of our church from paying our minister to maintaining our building to supporting outreach initiatives locally and abroad.
2 - Mission and Service - supports outreach initiatives of the United Church of Canada.
3 - Memorial - donations to the church made "in memory" when someone dies
4 - Lenten Outreach Project - each year we have a special campaign to raise funds for a project during Lent
5 - Worship 2000 - each year we have a special campaign in July to raise funds for the "Worship 2000" Fund which began as a special project in the year 2000 to provide for special needs of community members
6 - White Gift - each year we have a special campaign before Christmas to raise funds to buy gift cards that are included in the Christmas hampers distributed by the local community food bank
7 - Canadian Foodgrains Bank - these funds are forwarded to the Canadian Foodgrains Bank to assist with the work they do in Canada and abroad
8 - Other - occasionally we have a special need, such as a capital campaign
